Day 1

Airport-Sigiriya, 5 Hours

Upon arrival at the Colombo International Airport, you will be met by your driver.

A constantly changing slice of Sri Lankan life unfolds before you as you journey to the amazing temple complex at Dambulla. From Dambulla you will continue to Vil Uyana, your home in the heart of the Cultural Triangle.

Day 2

Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa-Sigiriya, 3 Hours

Awake in the shadow of the glorious Rock Fortress of Sigiriya.

Explore the ancient city of the Polonnaruwa, Sri lanka’s second ancient capital between 11th and 13th Century. Built alongside an artificial lake, Polonnaruwa has well preserved ruins of palaces, bath pools, architecture and statues of Lord Buddha. Sophisticated irrigation structures and civilisations are evident from the remains of the site. One of the many highlights of the site are the 4 large rock cut Buddha’s statutes depicting the four significant poses of Buddha.

Day 3

Sigiriya-Kandy, 3 Hours

An early morning climb of Sigiriya, avoiding the heat and crowds, before heading to Kandy Sri Lanka’s religious heart.

Day 4

Kandy – Bogawantalawa Valley, 3 Hours

A morning visit Dalada Maligawa (home to the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha) to see the daily ceremony and local worshippers and then a beautiful drive through the Hill Country to Tea Trails.

Day 5

Tea Trails

You will be absorbed into life on a working tea estate, whilst revelling in five-star luxury. Tea Trails will teach you everything you need to know about the perfect brew.

Day 6

Tea Trails – Bentota, 6 Hours

After a delicious breakfast wind your way through the tea plantations to reach the beach.

Day 7

Bentota

A water lovers’ paradise, do as little or as much as you like.

Day 8

Bentota – Airport, 2 Hours

Follow the coast back to Colombo for your return home.
